Surrey Sports Workshops


These preferential-rate workshops provide the opportunity for people who deliver physical activity to gain a practical and theoretical grounding that they can apply in their sessions.

Most workshops listed below can be booked and paid online via Surrey County Council's payment system - please follow the relevant link.

Safeguarding and Protecting Children

Improve your awareness of safeguarding and protecting children, and recognise signs of abuse and poor practice. Find out more and book your place.

Please note that if ten or more people need to go on a Safeguarding & Protecting Children's workshop from your organisation, we can arrange a bespoke workshop at your venue.

Funding workshop

Find out about some of the current grant funding opportunities open to clubs and organisations delivering sport/physical activity in Surrey.

Our resident funding advisers (Lawrie Baker and Eli Karlicka-Cook) will outline some of the potential sources and give practical tips to help improve your chances of a successful application. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about applications you are working on or planning, as well as book in for a 121 follow up appointment.

Club Experience: Youth

The world is changing, how do you ensure your club is chosen over all the other opportunities that are competing for people's leisure time? By making it a place people want to keep on coming back to. To do this you need to understand what your members want from your club and deliver a great experience to them. By consistently doing this you will create an extraordinary club that will thrive. This workshop provides support and information to help you make this happen.
