Sports Crews - practical new skills for your pupils

Sports Crew training is aimed at pupils in years 5 and 6 who are trained to support PE, school sport and physical activity delivery.

It's a great opportunity for pupils to develop their leadership and planning skills while turning them into real sports and activity ambassadors within your school. The three hour training session will cover theory around the S.T.E.P. principle (Space, Task, Equipment, People) and feature practical activities to put their learning into motion.

Your Sports Crew representatives will leave the training with a 'how to' booklet and a branded T-Shirt, plus challenges to take back to school which can earn them Sports Crew pin badges.

Having an external trainer and other schools involved gives a greater awareness of what the role entails, and the wider context. ...they seem to rise to the challenge more than if it was training run internally."
