Active Surrey provide PE, school sport and physical activity services and opportunities across all phases, for ALL schools in Surrey.
The Active Schools Team (including School Games Organisers) work in partnership with local partners (Surrey Outdoor Learning Development, Local Authorities) and national partners (National Governing Bodies of Sport, afPE, UK Coaching, Youth Sport Trust, Sport England) to provide a network of support, advice, training and resources.

The 2018 Active Schools Conference took place on 6 November. Run to support schools in their everyday PE and sport provision, this year's focus was on helping teachers appreciate their influence over pupils' long term wellbeing.
BBC's 'Trust Me...' Dr Zoe Williams gave the keynote address, with Commonwealth Gold Paratriathlete, Jade Jones-Hall attending as guest speaker.
Primary PE & Sport Premium guidance
The Department for Education has published new guidance on the doubled Primary PE and Sport Premium funding and there are additions to the details that all schools should be aware of.

A varied programme of Surrey based courses for practitioners working in Early Years, Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 settings. Discounts are available for Active School Members. There are many different teacher training courses available to book.
Star Mark (KS1)
Star Mark allows infant and primary schools to gain recognition for their achievements in PE and schools sport and is assessed across 3 star levels. Similar to the School Games Mark (for KS2), the KS1 Star Mark will be valid for one academic year. Applications can be made between 4 September and 30 November 2018 based on data and evidence from the previous academic year (2017-18).
