Active Surrey provide PE, school sport and physical activity services and opportunities across all phases, for ALL schools in Surrey.
The Active Schools Team (including School Games Organisers) work in partnership with local (Babcock 4S, Surrey Outdoor Learning Development, Local Authorities) and national (National Governing Bodies of Sport, afPE, UK Coaching, Youth Sport Trust, Sport England) partners to provide a robust network of support, advice, training and resources.
Active Schools Conference for Infant Primary & Secondary Schools - Understanding the Impact of an Active School
This regular event features bespoke workshops to help you increase the activity levels of your pupils and gain the benefits that come from engaging children in school sport.
Taking place at Surrey Sports Park, Guildford on Thursday 2 November, 8:30am - 3:30pm, there'll be a keynote address from Dr William Bird.

Star Mark (KS1)
Star Mark is an Active Surrey initiative to bring similar county-wide recognition for KS1 schools and more importantly, allow schools to map a path for the development of teaching staff in delivering PE and school sport.
You can apply online for Star Mark from 4 September - 15 December 2017 (or print a paper copy). The award will be made on the basis of the last academic year, and you can learn more about the suporting evidence that will sit alongside your application. The Active Schools Leadership Pathway provides an opportunity for young people across Key Stages 1-5 to develop as leaders, volunteers and even coaches. From training through to deployment, all the opportunities below will build pupils' skills and enhance their personal development:
