Satellite Clubs are extensions of community sports clubs, established at a community venue, such as a secondary school or college and specifically target the 14-25 age group. Coaches and volunteers, linked to the community hub club, work in partnership with the satellite host venue to create a new, sustainable, community satellite club.
Thanks to Sport England National Lottery funding, Active Surrey can provide start up funding to establish the new club sessions but there needs to be a plan in place for the sessions to continue beyond the start up funding. We only have limited funding remaining so please contact James Lovell if you are interested in creating a satellite.
New Satellite Clubs will be expected to utilise the Sport England Youth Insight Pack which offers national insight into young people's behaviour.
