About Us

Active Surrey acts as the local strategic delivery agency for Surrey, supporting the County Sports Partnership (CSP), which represents the local delivery network of public, private and third sector providers of sport and physical activity.

We are a partner-funded organisation and work with them, and other stakeholders, to ensure Surrey is an active county, well connected and working as one. We achieve this by working with others to enable the development of long lasting, high quality sporting & physical activity opportunities for all.

Our strategic priorities are to:

Build Capacity in the sporting infrastructure;
Attract Investment into sport / physical activity;
Develop Surreys Sporting Workforce; and
Share Knowledge and Information amongst relevant stakeholders.

What is a CSP?

There are 49 County Sports Partnerships (CSPs) in England, each one a local network of Local Authorities, National & County Governing Bodies of Sport, Clubs, Schools & School Sport Partnerships, Primary Care Trusts and other local agencies committed to working together to increase participation in sport and physical activity. Active Surrey supports this network.

In Surrey, representatives of these local organisations have formed the Surrey Sports Board, which will set strategic direction and oversee the work of a wide range of partners working together to achieve the vision of active county, well connected and working as one.
