1st4Sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
 
This course is the first step towards becoming a recognised football coach.  The certificate qualifies you to coach grass roots club teams for children and young people under the supervision of a qualified football coach.  Candidates minimum age is 16 years of age.
(NB This replaces the old FA Junior Team Managers Award).

Introduction to Long Term Athlete Development
 
The Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model has been developed within most sports to ensure that individuals play, train and compete at the right intensity and frequency depending on their age.  Having knowledge of a sports' LTAD model is essential for all coaches so that they can develop and deliver training programmes at the right level and avoid over-use injuries and player burn-out.

Officiating Award Courses
 
 
FA Basic (Grade 7 - 9) Referee  
 
This course provides you with the opportunity to learn the Laws of the Game in both classroom & practical training sessions. You will also look at the techniques & skills required to referee the modern game. At the end of the course you will be required to pass a short exam to become a Surrey listed Grade 9 referee, progressing to Grade 7 or 8 (depending on age) after a period of refereeing matches.  (Minimum age of candidates is 14 years old).
