QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

 

 

Sports coaches can access a whole range of further training courses and workshops, both "sports-specific" and "generic". Simply click below for full details of courses/workshops near you. 

 

Both types of courses and workshops are essential for coaches/officials to be able to offer the best learning/playing experience for players of all ages, in a safe and fair environment.

 

 

SPORTS SPECIFIC / NGB COURSES

Sports-Specific courses are Coaching/Officiating Award Qualifications run by sports national governing bodies (NGB's) and offer the latest thinking, as well as many drills & activities for coaches/officials to use.  More>>

 

 

GENERIC WORKSHOPS

Generic (non sports-specific) workshops include training on issues such as First Aid, Disability, Child Protection, Equity, Psychology, Sports Leadership, Fitness, etc, which cover all sports.  More>>

 

 

COACH DEVELOPMENT DAYS

Active Surrey delivery an annual development day for all levels of coaches across Surrey.  Content on these days vary from tailored workshops delivered by qualified sports coach UK tutors to shorter, one off sessions to raise the awareness of particular topics.  More>>
