HOCKEY ACTIVITY

We aim to make it easier for players and coaches to access locally based activity, join a quality child-friendly club and enjoy a well-organised competition.

The JDCs & JAC VENUES
Surrey Hockey Association is pleased to announce the venues for the 2009/2010 Hockey JDCs (trials) and JACs (county squads).
Tender applications went out at the beginning of march to see which venues could host the JDCs and the JACs in line with England Hockeys Centralised Calender.
A total of 9 applications came in, and it was thought it would be ideal if we could reward all 9 of those applicants.

The JDCs will have 4 Junior Development Centres based around Surrey and SW London and will look into the option of a 5th JDC centre for the following season.
Activity will take place at each of these centres from the beginning of August til Nov and will all run parallel to each other, with the final one or two JDC dates being held at a central venue in Surrey to help with talent identification.

The JACs start post christmas and a total of 5 venues have been chosen which are found scattered around Surrey and SW London.
The reason for having 5 venues is so that teams will rotate around them on a weekly basis. This in hopes to minimise travel for participants some weeks.
CONGRATULATIONS to the applicants.
