SPRING PARTNER CONFERENCE
Sports organisations from across Surrey gave their seal of approval to the new Surrey Sports Park last Thursday (15 April). 
 
The inspirational new facility, which opened to the public this week, gave a sneak preview to over 100 people from 65 organisations involved in the running of local sport as they met for the annual Surrey Sports Conference organised by Active Surrey.
 
The theme of the conference was to showcase how clubs, local authorities, the education sector and other sporting organisations are rising to the challenge of making Surrey a more active and successful sporting county in the lead up to the Olympic & Paralympic Games in 2012 and beyond.  Full Press Release

The newly formed Surrey Sports Board delivered a consultation workshop during the Surrey Sports Conference to gain knowledge of current challenges affecting sport and physical activity in Surrey. Ten hot topics were selected by the Surrey Sports Board to be discussed in small groups and then opened to all to view and add further comments.
