Rod
Berkeley
Churt

Rod has supported both Churt CC,
Farnham CC and Surrey in the past. In 1972, Rod
started up junior coaching in Farnham on Saturday
mornings. This became instantly successful and
attracted over 150 juniors to the sessions. In
the 1980s, Rod put the same energy into developing a junior section
at Churt Cricket Club, where he also played. He
has coached at school, club and county levels and has encouraged
and coached many key players at club, county and national
levels. Rod has been instrumental in
the clubs positive assessment for Clubmark and also played a
significant role in developing the Surrey Cricket Coaches
Association. In the late 1980s, Rod became a
Senior Staff Coach and, since then, has tutored many aspiring
coaches. His constant vigour and drive for
improving coaching in junior cricket is an excellent example to
all.
