VOLUNTEERING AWARD SCHEMES
SiS is designed to
assist young people aged 14-19 to volunteer in sport in school
and in the community. If you are 14-19 and in state school education in
Surrey you can record your volunteering for national
certificates! For more information talk to your PE teacher or

Included within Step
into Sport are the Sports Leaders UK Awards, which develop skills
for life through sport. Open to people aged 14 and upwards, they
help promote the communication, teamwork and organisational
abilities of all participants and encourage them to make a
contribution to their communities.
There are a variety
of Awards and qualifications on offer through schools and Colleges
of Further/Higher Education:
- The Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership- The Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership- The Level 2 Award in Basic Expedition Leadership- The Level 3 Award in Higher Sports Leadership- The Award in Dance Leadership
The vinspired awards recognise the time you commit,
the skills you develop and the difference you make through your
volunteering. The vinspired awards scheme has been designed to
boost your CV by showing employers, colleges, universities and
others clear evidence of what you've achieved as a volunteer. It
has already won backing from high-profile business leaders, such as
Martha Lane Fox, Karen Brady and Dragons Den star James
