Competition Managers
- Develop a county competition plan
- Implement NGB competition pathway priorities
- Develop a calendar of school based competitions and events
- Overall responsibility for increasing the number of young people involved in inter school competition
- Modernise the competition environment and build solutions to challenge the barriers like volunteering capacity and transport issues
- Ensure ongoing communication to all partners
National Governing Bodies of Sport
(NGBs)
- Develop a National Competition Framework
- Identify national competition pathway priorities and competition action plans.
- Local NGB development officer support
Partnership Development Managers
(PDMs)
- Identify priorities for competition development to contribute to the 5 hour offer
- Support the development of the county competition plan and interpret it in local delivery
- Work with local competition managers to support events within the infrastructure
- Ensure ongoing communication between PDM and Competition Managers
School Sport Co-ordinators (SSCos),
Primary Link Teachers (PLTs) and other appropriate
staff
- Co-ordinate the selection and preparation of teams and young people for competition
- Support the network in getting young people into competition
- Develop positive and varied intra-school experiences, linked to inter school opportunities where appropriate
Youth Sport Trust
- Set realistic national targets
- Give strategic direction
- Co-ordinate the sharing of best practice across the regional network
- Advice, guidance and support
Community Partners (Active
Surrey Sports Partnership, local clubs, volunteers, coaches,
officials and young leaders, local authorities)
- Support for events venues, personnel, resources
- Identify shared goals and areas for partnership working
