WHAT IS......

AN INITIAL EXPRESSION OF INTEREST?

Initial Expressions of Interest are invited by Wednesday 21 February 2007 from organisations that meet the criteria and are able to match the funding available from Sport England South East.  They must show the need for their proposal and how their work links with local, regional and national priorities.

The Initial Expression of Interest Form should be returned by 21 February 2007 with as much accompanying evidence as possible, e.g., letters of support from partners, the sport's National Governing Body, confirmed partner-funding, etc.

Once the Surrey Better Coaches & Leaders Group has met to discuss the applications, all applicants will be advised of the status of their bid, with successful applicants asked to finalise all paperwork by 16 March 2007.

The information is then passed onto Sport England South East and then to the Regional Sports Board who will make the final decision in April 2007.

Successful applicants will be advised as soon as possible after this date and open advertising and recruitment may commence (probably May 2007).
