The latest Programme consists of Leadership,
Coaching & Officiating Courses specially designed for 14-19 year olds in the sports of....
...and each course costs between £20 and £40!! (Normal course fees can be anything up to £70)

What can I do with my qualification?
Apart from looking great on your CV, you can actually put your newly acquired skills into practice at a host of different clubs, coaching sessions or sporting events. When you attend one of the courses you will be informed of local volunteering opportunities to suit you.
- SYCO certificates and goodies!
There are certificates available for SYCO attendees who commit to 15, 25 or 50 hours of community sport volunteering and this could help you complete Sports Leaders UK Awards, the Duke of Edinburgh Service Section, ASDAN Awards, Millennium Volunteers / v Awards and even lead onto full- or part-time paid employment in sport!
- Sports Leaders into Coaching
Once you have completed 50 hours of community sports volunteering and you're aged 16 or over, then you're eligible for all the benefits that our Sports Leaders into Coaching scheme can give you - more information is here.
- USA Summer Camp
There are also opportunities to use your qualification to spend the summer getting paid working in the USA at a summer camp. Find out more by logging on to www.campleaders.com

Step Into Sport
Step Into Sport is an initiative whereby students undertaking a Community Sports Leadership Award at school* can attend a specialist sports volunteering conference, receive individual mentoring and access tailored volunteering placements at a sports club. This level of support for new volunteers can help them achieve nationally recognised awards.
