Athlefit Leaders Course
Saturday 7th November, 9.30am - 1pm, at The Edge Youth Centre, Epsom.
The course will qualify you to lead Athelefit sessions and will cover:
breaking down the barriers and perceptions that athletics is only for the elitepractically demonstrating exercises based upon basic athletics principleskeeping the exercises fun, inclusive and adaptable for all abilities.
Places cost just £20 per person per course.
South Surrey Athletics Network Diagnostics Day

You have found this page as you been invited to take part in the first South Surrey Athletics Network diagnostic day in accordance with your Surrey Ranking/Power of 10 or Surrey Schools Championship results.
There will be specific diagnostic sessions in Sprints (John Davies), Endurance (Nick Anderson), Hurdles (Lorna Boothe), Pole Vault (Ellie Spain), Triple Jump (Tony Ganio), High Jump (Steve Chapman), Long Jump (John Shepherd), Hammer (Amir Williamson), Discus (Mark Wiseman), Shot (Mark Chapman) and Javelin (Browyn Carter).
Once you have paid for your attendance (£25) you will be asked to send a video/s of the fault/problem (maximum 15 seconds) you wish to work on/gain further feedback from the lead coaches prior to the event (deadline for videos 24 November 2013). This is to enable the coaches to design appropriate sessions to address these with both the athlete and their coach.Proposed Format for the day

Surrey Half Marathon
This new event will be held on Sunday 9 March 2014. This will be a closed-road running event between Guildford and Woking, open to the public, with the inagural event starting and finishing in Guildford. Find out more

Funding is avaliable through England Athletics to train leaders for beginner/intermediate groups across Surrey. The grant has been given by Sport England. Don't forget, your place on this course could be funded through the Run Surrey Offer.
